Renovating an apartment in Paris, from anywhere

Perhaps you are preparing a move to Paris. Perhaps you have just bought here — the apartment of a lifetime, in a city you love from afar. Or you already live here, and between the language and the local codes, running a renovation feels like a second job. In every case the problem is the same: the apartment is in Paris, and your life is not — not yet.

Working in English, or from another time zone, changes nothing about the care your project receives. Our method is made for distance: everything we do is drawn, written and sent to you — plans, perspectives, documents. And we know how to adapt: when a project calls for it, we surround ourselves with bilingual professionals.

An apartment in Paris, a life elsewhere

Deciding from a distance is uncomfortable for one reason: you cannot drop by. You cannot glance at the corner of the room, measure a doubt, look at the light at six in the evening. Every decision has to travel — and most renovation projects are simply not built for that.

Distance is not the real obstacle. Uncertainty is. What you need is not someone who talks fast — it is a project you can see, understand and decide on from wherever you are, at whatever hour suits your timezone.

A project you can see from anywhere

Our work is visual by nature, and that is what makes it travel so well. We are in Paris: we measure your apartment precisely, we study its light, its walls, its possibilities. Then you receive drawings — not descriptions.

You compare, you annotate, you decide — by email, at your own pace, in your own hours. Nothing is decided that you have not seen with your own eyes.

You see the plan of your apartment as it is, and the plan as it could be. Then come perspectives faithful to materials and light — your rooms, finished, before anything begins.

Drawings speak every language.

The file your contractor receives

At the end of our work, you receive a complete file: the measurements of every room, the plan of every fitting, the drawing of every piece of furniture, the materials and colours referenced one by one. Everything you read is in English; the technical file for the works is in French, ready for the building company — nothing gets lost between the two.

You hand it to your contractor if you have one; if you do not, we can look for the right one for you. And because everything is decided on paper before anyone starts, the works do not need you on site.

That is the quiet advantage of renovating from abroad: the works usually happen before you arrive — between the purchase and the move, with the apartment empty. You land in a home that is ready.

Furniture made in Paris

The other half of our craft is furniture designed to measure: a bookcase built for your walls, a table cut to your dining room, a piece that exists nowhere else. Designed by us, built by Parisian craftsmen, installed before you arrive.

It is, perhaps, the best way to own a piece of Paris: not a souvenir, but a piece designed for your home and made here — oak, walnut, brass, linen — that will cross the years with you.

The right measure

A beautiful project is not a question of budget. Everything can be done, at every budget: what you transform, what you keep, what is designed — every project has its right measure. We start from your budget, and we design the project that makes the most of it.

Your questions

Do you speak English?

Yes — and above all, we make sure language is never a problem. Everything important is written and drawn: plans, perspectives, documents you can read and reread at your own pace. We adapt to you, and when a project calls for it, we work with bilingual professionals. You always know exactly where your project stands.

Can the whole project happen without us coming to Paris?

Yes. We are in Paris: we measure the apartment, and from then on everything reaches you wherever you are. Decisions happen in writing, at your pace; the works can happen with the apartment empty. Come once, or not at all — the choice is yours.

In what order does a project unfold?

Four steps, always the same. Listening first: your habits, your wishes, the way you live. Then the sketch: your apartment, drawn differently — and redrawn as many times as it takes. Then the full project: the materials, and perspectives of your finished rooms. Finally the file, ready for the works. The full sequence is described, step by step, in our method.

Who handles the French side — the building company, the building's rules?

The file does. Everything you read is in English; the technical file for the works is in French, ready for your contractor — whom we can look for, if you need. We design within your building's rules, and the file is ready for the authorisation requests when they are needed.

Is it more expensive from abroad?

No. Distance changes how we communicate, not the mission: same steps, same drawings, same file. Each project receives a clear, itemised quote before any commitment — in English.
